KB266: How to include a custom License agreement as part of the Client MSI installation

The License agreement and acceptance thereof can be included as part of the Client installation (off by default). It will be shown during the installation and will force the user to accept the agreement as specified.

Create a file called Licence.rtf (please note spelling) with the custom Licence agreement in the Deployment Wizard folder of the Storage Platform Console installation:

 

Start the Deployment wizard. Make sure to select the option, Show Advanced Options, before continuing.

Select the “Display a Licence agreement” option during the MSI deployment:

The customised text as per rtf document will be displayed during the MSI installation and will force the user to accept before completing the installation:

 

 

Please note: The above can be switched on and off per MSI deployment.
